Elinor Burkett – Oscar Winner 2010

Elinor Burkett guide movement borrows producer Kanye West at the annual 82 when he stormed the stage and interrupted an acceptance speech from “Music for Prudence” collaborator Roger Ross Williams Award for best documentary short. Williams, film director, began his speech and spoke about a complete surprise to win the award. “Oh God, it’s wonderful,” he began. “Two years ago, when I took a plane to Zimbabwe, I never imagined in my wildest dreams that ends here. This is very interesting.”

That’s not the only one excited. Burkett, film producer, joined Williams suddenly on stage and immediately seized the microphone, took a stab at how women are not allowed to talk about men. “Is not just classical,” he said. Burkett, talked about the message of “Music of caution,” said: “You know, in the world are saying most of us and say to ourselves that we can ‘t, Liyana, the band behind the movie teaches us that we wrong. Against all odds, and so are we. The conclusion is, for me, my role model and my hero is [Liyana members]. ”

This is not as memorable as when the West “I’mma let you finish” at the ceremony, but it was close enough. “Music by prudence” focuses on the life of Prudence Mabhena, a singer from Zimbabwe who suffer from arthrogryposis, a debilitating condition that causes curved and deformed joints and limbs. The story is the music that is not successful and his band Mabhena Liyana. Mabhena alone in the crowd during his acceptance speech from Burkett and Williams, laughing at the surprise arrival of producers in the scene.
