Christian Laettner Versus Danny Manning

Christian Laettner is arguably one of the best players from the University of ever lace them. I say this not as an individual talent, but what was achieved during the year at Duke, especially in a team concept. This kid is a winner. I doubt many will dispute this. As I said yesterday, Laettner got an awesome deal, if even just for all of Grant Hill, Bobby Hurley and corporate supporters. But Laettner is going to people in the team. Do I have to say more than the shot he hit KO Kentucky? Laettner was a force in college. A great guy who can rebound, but bang in touch and range. He may not have been the fastest in 4 or 5, but moves well without the ball, can be relied upon to score goals. His defense was solid, at least in the scheme of human teams and play a D almost completely. But in one, with the same talent, he struggled.

Danny Manning set a team back on them. Literally. Kansas he led the team to the NCAA title. Of course, he has a solid teammate, but he is human. Really. Men among boys in the team and its opponents. It is the inner strength is posting a solid game but the real skills against the game. He was so large compared with their opponents and leave quickly. You can go left or right and must press. This is a perfect balance between strength and subtlety. Well, maybe hit a midrange jumper. Defense is his star and change and hat of many people. He can also lock the opponents one by one and almost never need help.

Manning Laettner will record from the outside, some units up false and fast delivery. He also could get some points in a quick rebound errors. He is a strong post game and one would think that Manning will be able to score inside. I believe him, but the point is that Laettner is struggling with support from Manning. There was no difference in weight enough to make Shaq Laettner and only returned to Manning. If that’s Grant Hill and Hurley, then sure, Laettner could go back and handle and score. But Manning is a different animal. There are ways to support him Laettner. Y, Laettner was not really going to do much in the face of the game. This can be difficult for Duke fans to take and I’m sure you do not agree, but really, think about it. Laettner took the ball at the top of the button, with Manning in a posture of defense, Laettner will not get to the edge. This will move to the east and west and could hit a bridge or two.
