Sonic The Hedgedog 4 Game Released!
Although always knew that “Needlemouse Project,” which was announced by Sega last September, is the code name for the new 2D, console Sonic the Hedgehog titles. This was later revealed (much of our joy) that Sonic will be the only playable character, and we now know that the game will, in fact, be a direct sequel to 1994′s Sonic & Knuckles on the Sega Genesis. Not only that – it would be (wait for it) episodic.
We also know that officially titled Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 looks like a proper Sonic game – that there is no hope for it yet. GameSpot, who first saw the blue bolts download new XBLA, PSN and WiiWare adventure, reported that “episode 1″ will be available on all three platforms “this summer.” In addition, Sega confirmed to sites that will support online play and leaderboards motion control the Wii and PS3 (SIXAXIS for the last, sorry “Arc”). Looks great (see the first screen), the idea sounds great – we just hope the game changed.
